Pair with a scan
Your desktop opens after the first scan, and your computer is saved on your phone. You can close the setup tab. Remotomo stays available in the background while your computer is awake, signed in and online.
Choose the download above and follow its setup instructions.
Your operating system may ask for installation, screen recording or control permissions.
Scan the code in the Remotomo iPhone app. Your desktop opens and the pairing is saved. No new scan is needed to reconnect.
Your computer. Your permission.
Open Remotomo on your computer whenever you want to manage access.
You can also remove a paired phone to revoke its access. It will need a new scan to connect again.
Before you begin
An existing TightVNC installation is left unchanged. No developer tools or router changes are needed. Installation and uninstall still need verification on a real Windows PC.
This is a script-based preview. A signed, notarized Mac app is still in development. If macOS blocks the launcher, stop and report the message.
This package is currently for testers comfortable with Linux setup. It needs a glibc-based desktop such as Ubuntu or Debian, a browser, a systemd user service manager, curl, tar with xz support, a SHA-256 tool, xdg-open and an authenticated VNC server listening only on 127.0.0.1:5900. It does not install or reconfigure your desktop server.
Extract the ZIP and use your file manager’s Run action on Install Remotomo.command, or run bash install.sh from the extracted folder. Do not run it with sudo. The local browser window handles automatic registration and QR pairing. Wayland and real Linux cellular sessions remain unverified.
Scanning the private, single-use QR code connects your phone and saves the pairing. Closing the setup tab or window leaves Remotomo running in the background. Keep your computer awake, signed in and online. Remotomo starts when you sign in; if you have paused access, it stays paused until you choose Resume.
